Pisac, Hiking, Nicholas, and Taekwondo

Yesterday we went to Pisac, a little village about thirty minutes north of Cusco in Sacred Valley.  When we got there, Rebecca and I hired a "guide" for 20 soles ($7) to take us on a hike to see some Inca ruins.  His name was Nicholas.  Nicholas told us our hike would be two hours long.  We hiked for five hours.  We walked up to The Temple of the Sun.  I nearly died along the way but of course, it was worth it.  And we ran into some interesting surprises along the way.

Our guide, Nicholas, who refused to smile normally.

Right when we got to the other side of the mountain, we found these new friends practicing taekwondo.  So naturally, we joined them.

And did the splits.
